LOCATION: Vancouver, BC
WEATHER: Hot and sunny
Sadly, there's not a helluva lot to report today as we spent the day at the RV park giving Dad a break from life on the highway for once. Mom and I spent most of the day up on the sundeck catchin' some rays and reading, and then heading down to the pool when it became more than we could bear. Mike joined us every now and then and Dad reclined in the air conditioned luxuries that Beula had to offer.
We have, however, finally become legitimate campers, if you'll notice the picture above. The awning, once deemed a "useless feature," has now become useful! We figured since we were gonna be here for more than a couple of days, we'd risk trying to roll'er out, and voila! I'll admit she looked pretty sad at first and hung down just a liiiittle low but Dad came to the rescue once again and fixed'er up 'til she looked like all her other awning friends around here. So we bought a little tablecloth, set up the folding chairs, and busted out the petite barbecue (and then smoked out the whole campground!) and now have no reason whatsoever to ever come hoooome! (We love you all.)
We spent the rest of the day grillin' up some burgs (& whipped up some homemade salmon burgers - go Momma!) and Dad rented us a car for our stay, so sadly there will be minimal Beula blunders in downtown Vancouver this time around. I'm sure we'll make up for the lost blog material there somehow.
Mike took it upon himself to skateboard around the park while playing guitar, stopping at campsites to serenade campers while they dined in hopes of some simple charity, but sadly was turned away every time. He actually didn't impose his playing upon anyone, just skated around spreading general joy for all to hear.
Tomorrow, if we don't all die from the sweltering heat (I'm still grateful!), we'll head into Van for more tourist fun.
Letting the good times roll,

So glad Mike is spreading cheer and you are bunkering down for a spell.xo
